Radish

Description
Although the name, radish, focuses attention on the edible root (derived from "radix" in Latin), radish greens are great to eat as well. The root of a radish has high water content, and some vitamins and minerals, and the greens host great concentrations of vitamins A, some B’s and C. Radish is also a digestive aid and blood cleanser.

Preparation
Scrub the radish before cooking, but it doesn't need to be peeled. The root can be grated, when raw, onto salads and soups, chopped with other root vegetables and baked, steamed or stir-fried. The raw greens are good to go in salads, or they can steamed or stir-fried (just remember that they cook quickly).
