Food Justice
Our Mission:
At Phillies Bridge Farm Project, we believe that everyone deserves access to fresh, healthy, and locally grown food. Our Food Justice Program is rooted in the idea that equitable access to good food strengthens communities, uplifts local economies, and fosters a sense of belonging and shared responsibility.
Through our partner organizations share program, we donate food to food access point that help amplify our impact. We partner with organizations such as the Institute for Family Health, the Ulster Immigrant Defense Network, and the Glynwood Center for Regional Food and Farming to expand access to fresh produce and connect families with community resources that support health and well-being.
Through our sliding scale CSA program, members can choose a price tier that fits their household income, ensuring that everyone can participate. We also accept SNAP benefits, helping more families bring nutritious, farm-fresh vegetables to their tables.
Food justice is more than feeding people; it’s about creating a food system that values dignity, connection, and sustainability. When all members of our community can share in the harvest, we grow stronger together.
Sliding Scale
Our sliding scale program makes it possible for more people in our community to enjoy fresh, locally grown food, regardless of income. We believe that good food should be accessible to everyone, and that when we all contribute what we can, we build a stronger, more resilient community together.
CSA members are invited to self-select a pricing tier that best reflects their household’s financial situation:
-
25% off – for those who could use a little help making farm-fresh food more affordable.
-
50% off – for those with limited income or access to resources.
-
70% off (SNAP-eligible tier) – for households using SNAP benefits or experiencing significant financial hardship.
There’s no verification process, just trust, honesty, and shared commitment to our mission of food justice. Every share purchased helps us sustain the farm, pay fair wages to our farmers, and ensure that fresh produce remains within reach for everyone in our community. Please apply for the sliding scale program by filling out this form. You can read about each tier and self select as you see fit.
