Willow Pond Sheep's Milk Yogurt Add-On
15.5 oz jar of sheep’s milk yogurt from Willow Pond Sheep Farm in Gardiner. This plain yogurt is made on site with milk from the farm's very own dairy flock. Because sheep produce milk only from spring to fall, the yogurt is very seasonal. This add-on runs for the first 21 weeks of CSA. Sheep's milk yogurt is mild, exceptionally creamy, and high in protein. It's also considered by many people to be more digestible than cow's yogurt. At Willow Pond, the yogurt is bottled in beautiful 15.5-oz. glass jars at their on-farm creamery, using milk from their pasture-raised flock. Nothing added, just milk and cultures. The farm is the only sheep dairy in the Hudson Valley, and they also produce lamb, wool, and sheepskins, making it a “whole sheep” farm that values everything sheep can offer.
